4th Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, 15 - 19 Jan 2021

Whatever it takes!!!
If it gets close, India should go for it even with the tail. No time for this ***** ass **** like SA pulled out of chasing down that Indian target a few years back. Embarass this mob.

But really Langer is about as aggressive as a prison bitch.
To be fair, got bowled out is a great card for situations like this. Think most of the Aussie team management is low key pleased about that happening. Now it makes their task far simpler without worrying about some decisions they made.

This is headed for a easy draw for India imo. If the batsman don't **** up royally, that is. The pitch is playing pretty well.

So stoked for Siraj. Staying back after losing his father due to the ****ing covid and the restrictions it has brought, making his debut, helping the side win, showing so much character even in the field and with the bat and now capping it with a 5-fer. Hopefully we win this test and make it even sweeter for him and his late father. Such a wonderful story.

Him and Natarajan playing together and winning a test for India in Australia is literally a movie script unfolding in front of our eyes live. Both come from such financially challenged backgrounds that the fact that they are here at this level speaks volumes for their, their families' and all their coaches' hardwork and commitment. :)

EDIT: And to think so many in the Platinum Lounge wrote him off after his first spell at the MCG.

It is very simple, they did not call intimidatory bowling when it was actually going on and called it at a time when it was not. That is the simple fact that you have missed and if that is what you call "good" at reading, I can see why you think this was "good" umpiring.

EDIT: I didn't mind them not calling the no-balls and intimidatory bowling earlier as I thought they were erring on the side of the bowler, which is ok with me as long as its consistent and it obvious that both common sense and any idea of consistency went out of the window with that call today.
Umps doing their best yo make it a boys vs men contest with the hilarious intimidatory bowling call

That's not actually true. The relevant bit of the law:

There's definitely room for discretion there, someone recently bowled two in an over in the BBL and wasn't warned, let alone pulled, as they were well wide of off.
Yeah, same thing happened in NZ recently, can't remember who but they bowled a chest high full toss on the line of the wide line and it wasn't counted.

Identical to today. 80% chance of rain.
So Australia probably have 2 and a bit sessions to force a result. If on the other hand India manage to get to 100 for not many at lunch, I'd be tempted to put Pant up the order and tell him to have a crack a la Brisbane. You never know.

Potential rain from 1 PM onwards tomorrow - so lunch time Indian score will be absolutely critical.

And pls do not let Pujara or Rahane anywhere near the pitch till proper batsmen get out. 6 down and 7 down maybe.

Updated forecast is about a 30% chance of rain by start time and staying like that for most of the playing day.

Looks like decent bout of overnight rain. Pitch will sweat up nicely and will make it a cracker of an opening session. India will just have to approach it positively. Hanging around for draw will be suicidal.

If someone had told India 'you will need to bat day 5 on a decent pitch with 10 wickets in hand to retain the trophy' at any time in the series, they would've taken it.
If someone had then told them "Oh by the way, during the course of the series you'll lose not only Kohli but also Shami, Umesh, Ashwin, Jadeja, Vihari and Bumrah" they'd be doing absolute somersaults.
