Absolutely agree with you. Him amping up the pace seems like he's giving a burst of some sorts
Been terribly disappointing. Barely given a yelp.

In fairness, it’s his third test, but as Paine said prematch, he’s had plenty to say for a bloke with eight days’ test cricket under his belt. I think they see him s a real blow hard.

Oh shot. That crazy good

England look to be in a monumentally low-ebb right now so I would totally want 5 overs at them before stumps. 450 and declare IMO. This is a very big score in the context of test cricket in England in recent memory.

He is one. Doesn't help that England and english fans have touted him as some kind of saviour.

If Smith were to get out now, then score 22 ducks in his next 22 innings, he'd still have a test average better than Brian Lara's and Virat Kohli's.

Bloody hell, now I'm seriously considering Steven Smith to be a better batsman than Tendulkar and Viv. Still watching a Tendulkar backfoot punch drive is the most satisfying experience.

That session should decide the Ashes. Such a nightmare in so many ways for England and all memories of Leeds would be gone for Australia.

That Roy miss prob the turning point of the match as Oz looked likely to waste another Smith masterclass with dumb and sloppy batting. Massively important innings for Paine as a whole series without a 50 would have placed major pressure on him for this summer.

It's been a while since I've been so frustrated watching England, this has been absolutely ****ing rubbish today and yesterday.

Well this is fun

Good job we've got a batting line up designed to hit 600 and set up an awkward last day for Oz

As bad as we've been, if we can get through the tail then they aren't out of reach here

Of course then you remember 300 is the new 450 for England and I get sad but

Just want to see more fight from us this session, pick up a few wickets, show more intent and you never know, we could shell them for below 450. Plenty more than it should’ve been but for some pretty basic mistakes, but we can’t feel sorry for ourselves, show some fight!
