Only just started watching. Has the ball been seaming and spinning all the way through? Stokes lbw referral went a long way and Leach is turning it too.
NUFAN, I love your thread on the ascending high scores but you're wrong here.Daemon, i find it really hard to say the bowling team is unlucky when a batsman is given not out on a ball clipping leg sides bail.
It just doesnt feel out and even with technology it feels more right to not be out and this is what the former bowlint great in the comm box meant too.
Pretty much.Only just started watching. Has the ball been seaming and spinning all the way through? Stokes lbw referral went a long way and Leach is turning it too.
I think it's a classic sort of decision that no-one would even think about giving out pre-Hawkeye but post-Hawkeye you'd at least think about it. I don't really agree with Daemon here but I don't think he's alone in that kind of opinion.Daemon, i find it really hard to say the bowling team is unlucky when a batsman is given not out on a ball clipping leg sides bail.

Warner is shite, so is Harris, Smith and Smith 2 are good, Burgey is posting drivelWho knew I'd miss the first session of an Ashes test but alas. Run me up to speed lads.
Horrible dismissal from Warner, below average from Harris, typical opening cluster****, otherwise decent batting and loose bowling. Odd ball doing a lot off the pitch but not enough pressure and consistency for the movement on offer.Who knew I'd miss the first session of an Ashes test but alas. Run me up to speed lads.
^ all this plus Corrin is antsy because Corbin will be PM over there by Xmas.Warner is shite, so is Harris, Smith and Smith 2 are good, Burgey is posting drivel
Nah, no way. Did you play cricket out of curiousity? Just feel like your view of ball touching any part of the stump means out is a real ah **** I dunno how to explain it.NUFAN, I love your thread on the ascending high scores but you're wrong here.
Apparently this was down to Overton inadvertently damaging it.Oh God, another discussion about the shape of the ball, looks like a change too.
Yeah I did/do.Nah, no way. Did you play cricket out of curiousity? Just feel like your view of ball touching any part of the stump means out is a real ah **** I dunno how to explain it.
The whole benefit of the doubt to the batsman is just an old school cricket opinion, which is why a guy like Holding who played in the 70s and 80s goes along with it. I play loads of cricket and I personally don't see any reason why it has to be the case, especially at the highest level where there's technology. Admittedly I probably side more with the bowlers on the balance of the game debate than most.Nah, no way. Did you play cricket out of curiousity?
