My reaction to that dismissal is not "gee, umpire's call, unlucky" it's "surely that should just be out, not umpire's call"

Smith with the movement only designed to put the bowler off there and nothing else #TomFlintposts

Well yeah, if it’s hitting it’s out. At least theoretically. We need a seven page discussion on how, despite plainly being out on the tech, it really wasn’t.

it was crashing into the stumps morgie, just what do you call a neutral call?
I dunno, maybe I'm being a tad bitter but I think they'd have been more reluctant to give that out if it was Australia bowling.

Keep in mind I felt like it should be out.

Bet Smith is gonna do something anticlimatic and get out to Leach or something for 24

Rightly so. We should get priority as the home team.

Bit of a home town call but I think I'd have given that out live.
I don’t think a home town call as such, but the umps have been susceptible to giving things on loud and persistent appeals this series, and for both sides imo

Edit: I mean it’s quite the series for the decision makers when’s dharmaseena is seen as one of the better appointees

Yeah this is something I've thought through the whole series. Easily intimidated, this lot.

Broad doing the celebrappeal certainly goes some way in convincing the umps.

Nobody does it better than Philander though.

my thoughts exactly. The whole ball was smashing the stumps. If it was not out then England would rightfully be annoyed.

(still not as out as Stokes was though)

That was a Steve Waugh shot

also confirming what I was saying in the 2nd test. TPC just doesn't play off the front foot anymore
