Hey guys small boundaries right? No way he would be doing this on a GOOD ground
It's been a fantastic innings the highest innings EVER in a World Cup and you're dribbling on about the boundaries Eden Park has smaller boundaries than Wellington and Guptill has scored more than your entire team managed

It's almost like 200 is the new 150. It's got absolutely absurd, and something should be done to bring the balance back a bit.

And before some **** comes in with some bull**** strawman, yeah Guptill was awesome and it was a great knock. Hate that I need to say that repeatedly to make a point.

At a time like this, I think it's important we take a moment to think of Blocky, laugh, and remember how much of an odious moron he was.

Hint: That post was filled to the brim with sarcasm and it was made right after he smashed it out of the cake tin

Mr. Glass
Last 137 runs from Guptill came off 52 balls. And moves up to #2 on the most runs list for this WC.

That's the thing though, sure there are big scores, but the teams dominating this world cup all have gun bowling attacks.

I think the new shift we're seeing is that you can't get away with having a mediocre bowling attack anymore.

India have been getting away with it for ages. Not talking about just this WC, because we've bowled well, just a general point.

Not Terrible
It swung early and was fairly hard for any early in their innings. This isn't a game displaying the disparity between bat and ball, this is a game that displays what happens when someone plays the innings of their lifetime.

This isn't the Australian attack. The WI definitely have a few good bowlers and the rest are decent, but this is something that can happen. Our attack would never concede that much in these conditions.

This isn't the flattest pitch in history, this isn't due to bigger bats, this isn't due to fielding restrictions, this is just the bar being set higher and higher in cricket.

Batsman have a higher ceiling in performance, you can ALWAYS score more runs. Bowlers have and have always had the more difficult job of taking that away from the batsman.

If you want to see a balance between bat and ball just watch what happens in the 2nd innings today or what has happened quite regularly throughout this tournament. A team getting bowled out. Because batsman that are aiming higher and higher are also prone to falling like a sack of spuds when it doesn't come off or on the day the bowlers are better.
