Big game for Rashid. Bad performance here and you feel Ali could replace him as first spinner (and only spinner if we continue with four seamers into the semis if we make it)
This will never happen - Rashid is a dead set certainty for every game this WC, Morgan clearly rates him and has backed him in every game often to the detriment of the match situation.

Just don't think he's had 100% fitness throughout this tournament unfortunately. It seems like most games that he hasn't been able to complete his 10 0vers because he hasn't been good enough. At this point I think you at least know what you're getting with Ali. Hope Rashid finds some form this game though

Root before Rashid is spicey Morgan.
Root has actually outbowled both Rashid and Ali in his last 2 bowling games.

Before the WC began I was wondering if him and Denly should be the main slow bowlers in a team that truly bats down to number 10. Including Willey.

This is not over yet. If these two can build partnership and drag till 200-220 anything can happen after that.

That game against WI proved to be pretty huge in the grand scheme of things for Pak and NZ. NZ would be shitting their pants right now if Pak had been less embarassing (obviously if everything else stayed the same)

Damn. All out for 160 odd makes the Pak-Bang game slightly interesting. Which will probably lead to a Pak collapse going for 400.

Still think Rashid Is a solid bet in white ball games, just can’t believe Ali is still anywhere near the team
One of England's weaknesses is that they haven't got a decent spinner. They tried and failed with several after Graeme Swanny called it a day.

Rashid bowls too many fourballs. In a close game he could be the difference . .

Case of two steps forward two steps back for CdG in his last few innings. NZ seem determined to keep Pakistan in the hunt.

We're heading out of this World Cup. It's going to be 150 all out, then Pakistan are going to do something ridiculous.

England have been extremely lucky this game, but fmd we've played some atrocious cricket.

Seeing how NZ have bottled so many bilateral series deciders over the last 4 years, did feel the biggest weakness is keeping it together in pressure games.

looks like england will win comfortably so this makes the pakistan vs bangladesh match a dead rubber right?
