So I always used to take issue with the ‘bowlers win matches not batsmen’ line and I know it was a Richardism but it definitely wasn’t just his thing. Obviously we all know that you (generally) have to take 20 wickets to win a Test match etc etc.

But look at England. We’d win more matches and series if you switched round the quality of our batting and bowling than we do currently. To lose by an innings after bowling that well, it’s inexcusable. And more generally speaking, we just give our bowlers nothing. Even 50-75 extra runs in the first innings and Warner probably feels just slightly less free to **** it everywhere.

Anyway we’re a ****ing joke, whatever
