would love if they gave tanveer a run whos someone i really rate, as against the swep who i don’t rate

not only is tanveer a good compliment to lyon and someone who i’d back to take over as our prime spinner if he can find the feet in test cricket he’s also the sort of x factor spinner you want to bring to the subcontinent who can really do a number when the pitch is getting a bit rogue
Yeah I don't rate Swepson that much either tbh, and Tanveer Sangha appears to bowl in exactly the sort of way they've been looking for someone to bowl as a second spinner in the subcontinent for a decade: fast, straight legbreaks that make you play constantly

He looked clueless vs Anderson in conditions hes ment to excell in and struggled to get past 30 vs NZ despite getting Henry Nicholls tiers of luck. He's obviously a good player and shell-shocked may have been a tad hyperboled, but he's not looked up to test conditions bar one knock vs AUS, same as pope aside from his SA series and 90 vs Pak and green bar back end of the India series last summer on Some very flat pitches.
Pope's been playing for way longer, and Green started in the same series as Gill and hasn't even played away Tests yet. Hyperbole is hyperbole yes, which was my problem with your suggestion earlier regarding Gill. He's just started and failing early vs decent bowling attacks, it's not like he's part of the big 3 Indian middle order who have been horrendous by their standards and have played far more Tests than any of the 3 young players you mentioned. Can't just say he's obviously a good player and then in the same sentence say he's not looked up to Test conditions when he's got a better average than Pope who's played twice as much innings as him. Pope only has a hundred and 2 50s over Gill despite playing that much more games, so it's a little unfair to group all 3 of them together for this.
He was fine vs NZ. 51, 1, 44, 47 in 4 innings in a pretty low scoring series.

I think he'd have been owned if he'd been fit for the Eng series but can probably count himself really unlucky not to be playing in this series in SA right now, would have enjoyed batting on thi ssurface.
I mean I think he'd have gotten an opportunity to improve at the very least in England vs England.
