What's with all these gun young FC bats struggling at test level recently. Gill, pope and green all dominate FC but look shell-shocked at test level. Nissanka is the only one I can think of who has been consistently solid.

If green is an all rounder what about the likes of starc or Cummins that can bat a bit better. Heck even jhye or neser looked more solid with the bat. Or last all rounder to play in ashes was probably pattinson.

Pope is different but Gill and Green are basically kids going off talent alone, not at all unusual for those types to get a bit of a culture shock at Test level
