Not always, and are you saying no bowler has ever seamed one back in?
It's still different to just standing in front of all three before the ball has left the bowler's hand. You're at least reacting to where the ball was initially bowled and legitimately trying to play at it.

ok last post on the matter for realsies

There's a difference between that and literally just standing in front of your stumps... really not sure what there is to not get here

yeah I'm done with this
jesus christ how was smith "just standing in front of your stumps"? he's moving into a position to play a shot.

what you have said over the last few pages is quiet honestly some of the stupidest most non-sensical rubbish i have ever had the misfortune of coming across in my life, please for the good of us all, be done with it.

under your exact logic though the batsman should lose the benefit of the doubt because he's deliberately trying to put his pads between ball and stumps. given that every single batsman not named glenn maxwell ought to do this as a matter of course, this means no one should ever get the benefit of the doubt

Very possibly the last ODI match for Misbah, Younis, and Afridi. Three legends of Pakistani cricket (yes, even that **** Afridi). So long fellas, thanks for the memories.

But do you guys honestly not get what WellAlbidarned is saying? Obviously it shouldn't make any difference to umpires but his point is also not hard to understand.

Irrespective of the result, I am proud of the team and the intensity with which the pace bowlers bowled. Wahab Riaz was for me the best bowler in the tournament. Bowled with a lot of heart. Misbah has ended his career with the same dignity he played the game with. Afridi is ending his career at the right time - can't bat, can't bowl and can't field. Good riddance.

I'm not sure how this isn't getting through. He was standing in front of the stumps. Those things that the bowler is trying to hit. You know? In the game of cricket? You must be as blind as you are thick.

Just when I think Healy and Taylor can't stoop any low they surprise him. How difficult is it to do some research before you sit down to talk? He can't even name the 'fielder' who dropped the catch.
