Yeah there goes my ticket. I had 10ao in 42 overs. Disgraceful effort from the bowlers.Bang starting to get some runs ...
It was Boult. So I couldn't keep track of it, but was it boult or southee that some NZ fans didn't want in the squad before the WC?
Yeah he's been immense this tournament. It was Boult.
I am quite happy I wasn't one of them.
Has been our premier test swinger but hadn't shown much in ODI'sSo I couldn't keep track of it, but was it boult or southee that some NZ fans didn't want in the squad before the WC?
Boult. It was more a question of management more than anything else though; he hadn't actually done anything in ODIs when the squad was picked. No-one just straight up thought he was **** (he's a much loved Test bowler) but the feeling was that he should have actually played more ODIs in the 12 months leading up to the Cup in order to win his place based on performance (something that no-one denied he had the ability to do) if he was in the plans of the coach and selectors. The fact that Matt Henry was left out of the squad despite taking 21 wickets @ 15 in ODIs added to the drama. So I couldn't keep track of it, but was it boult or southee that some NZ fans didn't want in the squad before the WC?

Thanks for adding in more context. Guess it was more about trying not to upset the ODI squad too much leading up to a major tournament?Boult. Yeah pretty much. I think, six months out, most people were pencilling Boult into their squads.. but they expected him to be actually selected in ODIs to win that spot. He kept being rested though, and when it was time to name the squad it came down to a choice between:Thanks for adding in more context. !!!!FFS McCullum, commitment is fine, but don't unnecessarily do a shoulder on the advertising boards.
That's what my one says but it just starts playing after I close the messageCheers, but my VLC does not support that 'undf format.
Might have to check that I have the latest version.
Because of 2014.
ODIs were always his stronger suit so after he defied all cricketing sense by performing well in Tests last year, they brought him back here as injury cover. He was on a hiding to nothing though given he'd barely stepped off the plane when they rushed him into the side.
