I love the way every match is producing an even contest between bat and ball where sides have to graft, yet the ignorant posters still come on here every single day and say player X, who’s invariably rescued a side from a collapse when the flashy blokes have made 7(6) “played an awful innings, really.”

Ill tell you how these innings usually go - NZ get off to 0/40 or so at a decent rate. This invariably means Ian Smith on commentary gets rally really ****y and gobby, as only someone with a massive (and well earned) inferiority complex can.

Then they lose 7/30 odd at some point, get beaten by between 30-40 and he spends the last half hour sounding like someone took a dump on his weetbix this morning

We've literally done this 90% of the time since McCullum retired. It's a state of being.

Great start and finish to the aus innings by NZ. Boult you are better tha Bumrah...and I'm an indian saying this. What a champion...time and time again he does this. Latham's keeping and nz's fielding in general continues to be erratic. Lost control in the middle with khawaja and carey getting carey-d away. Ha.

Not a good start here tho, rosskane to the rescue yet yet yet again.
