Geez can we put Munro out of his misery.

It's weird that they selected him at all this World Cup - end of last season they finally gave up on him, brought Nicholls in to open and he promptly made a century (something Munro has never done). Then Nicholls gets a minor niggle leading into the World Cup and somehow Munro is considered the incumbent again. Think media + selectors are entranced by the idea that you need a dasher at the top of the order. Not just NZ, but all teams this World Cup have demonstrated quite the opposite.
