What does this even mean? If they can't score 280 against a gun bowling line-up in their home conditions they should go home? Weird. Just bowl well and don't make your batsmen have to chase 280.

With Tharanga at 7, 280 should not be a problem as long as they dont lose more than a couple wickets in the first 15. That is a big if, but I think if one of the big 3 fires 280 should be very gettable.

Australia have a pretty decent bowling attack though. Despite SL's excellent top order Australia's bowling can be more than a match for them especially in home conditions.

Yeah, because it's proved so easy to get 280+ against Australia in their conditions over the years.


FTR, I actually do rate SL's chances because if their guns fires they're an excellent chasing side, but there's still so much wrong with that post.

of course it is gettable but if they can't chase 280 against this line-up its not a disgrace whereby they should go home. Starc and Mitch are seriously elite ODI bowlers.
