I keep going on about it but I love the line and length the Afghani bowlers have picked up in NZ conditions. So few subcontinental teams have ever actually bowled there. I suspect Afghanistan will get slaughtered today due to the lack of swing but despite that I think it's impressive stuff.

I sometimes feel like for targets like this you just need to get your batsmen to bat through the game. Just seems to me that the reason NZ collapse chasing such small targets is because mccullum usually sets the tone of being very aggressive when they can just bat through and win it.

Yeah disagree strongly. Against Scotland that is definitely what happened. But at the same time, we never actually looked like we were struggling and the wickets lost were fairly meaningless.

Against Australia? It was Starc who came out and blew us away, aggressive batting had very little to do with it. Except for many Corey, but since he is icing thats what you expect from him.
