We should only declare if the game becomes well and truly, indisputably safe imo. Happy for us to have a bit of crack at them in the wild hope of a repeat of that Sri Lanka test in 2011, but nothing more - I don't care how much of a step down Smith to Labuschagne is on paper
I mean if we were in your position (but still 1-0 up) I'd 100% agree. I'd still probably agree given it's only the second Test, but I do wonder whether Root will think differently and want a crack at Australia. As you say though, very hard to do without giving Australia a real chance of chasing it. Frankly if I were England I'd prefer to get bowled out so there's a 200 for 50 sort of situation.

i believe both relationships were separated at the time person A from relationship A got it on with person B from relationship B
I thought they were still together when it first started? Certainly it seemed that way when the scandal broke.

I wouldn't even think of declaring even if the opportunity to have a dart at them arises. Only three days between the Tests, so give the bowlers a rest. I would expect us to be bowled out anyway at some point.

England are having the best batting conditions of the day, it will get cloudy probably by after lunch and then batting might be a lot more difficult. Mark Taylor was saying that play might go until 8pm but it is supposed to rain again at 7pm.

England have definitely had the better of the conditions so far this series.

This feels absolutely made for an Aus collapse in about 40 overs
Yep. To think that if we had taken our chances yesterday we'd probably have already won the Test. Even a breakthrough puts Australia in a collapse position.

The met office is hinting that rain will hit around 6pm, which probably robs another 15 or so overs?

lyon was over bowled this morning - too early - some good balls later, but siddle and hazelwood would have been my pick to attack first up - Cummins was ok, Siddle and HAzelwood , sneaky pair and may have frustrated the batters into a mistake I reckon

The thing about criticising the Australian bowlers is that this wicket looks pretty flat as things stand. Really Australia should've had them 8 or so down yesterday, and that's what cost them victory.
