Also with machines you don't have to worry about bullshit like allowing two instead of three reviews because of worries like human-manifested bias. A machine's only bias is towards truth.

Who do we think will get dropped stupidly by the selectors ALA Ferguson after 1 test when India win today? Aside from burns because he goes for warner either way.

Got my money on green.

I used to complain ab0out umpire's call but then came that ball where ABdV was bowled and hawkeye showed it missing the stumps.
Would like to see that graphic and how much it was missing by. But if thats the worst a machine has to offer I'll take it.

Looking forward to India losing 2 wickets for sub-10 here just to see the reactions :D

They'll go on to win after that though.

yeah like there is uncertainty for sure, especially from calibration error. that's why it's not perfect. but that ball was hitting the stumps really quite solidly. it should be out.

I dont think green should be dropped but this innings he should have been out twice before his poor dismissal and still only scored 40 on what people are saying is an easy pitch to bat on

The margin of error keeps changing for hawkeye depending on how much data is available and the distance to predict doesn't it? For example it you're struck right after the ball pitches 2 metres in front of the wicket it's going to be a much higher margin of error compared to if you're struck by a length delivery on the back pad.

There should be a way to factor this in ideally, though it might serve to only further complicate things.

Thats just going to be way too confusing for the general public and would lead to even more complaints each time an umpires call happens.

Surely they drop Head.

Can they only bring in players who are already in the bubble? Otherwise how is Usman K going this year?
