Ashwin has completely outbowled Lyon so far. Also credit to Indian pacers to prepare the platform for Ashwin to bowl at his best.
It's been frustrating to watch them bowl at least three every over. But I guess it's been a strategy to keep them pinned back and keep the RR down. The short lengths have been fairly unhittable so it's worked well in the end.Overdoing this short stuff now
Lol wtf? Are you suggesting humans are more accurate? Then why why would we even use ball tracking, like at all?A) how would we know? Have there been any tests run comparing accuracy of humans vs hawkeye?
Best I've seen him bowl. Lovely guile and very consistent.Ashwin has completely outbowled Lyon so far. Also credit to Indian pacers to prepare the platform for Ashwin to bowl at his best.
Green showed proper balls and looked more solid than anyone else in the team. No way he gets binned.Who do we think will get dropped stupidly by the selectors ALA Ferguson after 1 test when India win today? Aside from burns because he goes for warner either way.
Got my money on green.
Would like to see that graphic and how much it was missing by. But if thats the worst a machine has to offer I'll take it.I used to complain ab0out umpire's call but then came that ball where ABdV was bowled and hawkeye showed it missing the stumps.
yeah like there is uncertainty for sure, especially from calibration error. that's why it's not perfect. but that ball was hitting the stumps really quite solidly. it should be out.I used to complain ab0out umpire's call but then came that ball where ABdV was bowled and hawkeye showed it missing the stumps.
Found this an interesting listen - thought this is probably as good a place to put it as any
Thats just going to be way too confusing for the general public and would lead to even more complaints each time an umpires call happens. The margin of error keeps changing for hawkeye depending on how much data is available and the distance to predict doesn't it? For example it you're struck right after the ball pitches 2 metres in front of the wicket it's going to be a much higher margin of error compared to if you're struck by a length delivery on the back pad.
There should be a way to factor this in ideally, though it might serve to only further complicate things.
Surely they drop Head.Who do we think will get dropped stupidly by the selectors ALA Ferguson after 1 test when India win today? Aside from burns because he goes for warner either way.
