Yea but he's not been that bad either. Did produce a wicket and hasn't let Afgh run away. They've played the spinners well so in context his overs have been valuable.
he's going at above 5 an over when everyone else is well below 4. too many freebies on a pitch that is a slog to score on, but that's just who he is as a bowler.

21 in 6 overs is 3.5 an over. Plus a wicket.

He was poor in the first two overs but he's been better since then

does shankar bowl cutters? his slowness could've been useful here. surprised kohli hasn't tried him considering bowling is half the reason he's picked

This is bad. Afghanistan still have a chance if Nabi can stay there. C'mon, you Afghans, you can do it!

Great bowling. That just slided on.

Credit to India - they've been pretty excellent in the field. They're going to be a hard side to chase against this WC.

When it's a relatively small target and only 2 people outside the first 10 overs, then why don't chasing teams just use the old school slog approach by the openers and a pinch hitter sent down at 3, which was so popular and successful in the 90s to early 2000s.

If Afghanistan did that, they would then have control of the NRR by being 65/70 for 2 after 10 overs and from there onwards they could play steady as they like, rather than plod along from the start and get into pressure situations as they are in now.
