He is woefully out of form. From looking at the scorecard, I would guess that without his stolid innings, Sri Lanka might have folded for under 200.

Not sure about that. He ensured that SL batted out their 50 overs and provided a target that may be enough if England have a bad day. Bairstow's latest failure suggest he may have a point.

It was sub optimal from a SR perspective but its tough to call it garbage when they wouldve been bowled out without it.
