Absolute garbage innings from Matthews. What on earth has happened to him?
He is woefully out of form. From looking at the scorecard, I would guess that without his stolid innings, Sri Lanka might have folded for under 200.

As I type, one down, nine to go.

Matthews was poor today i have to say when you 115 ball and to score only 85 it pretty bad
Not sure about that. He ensured that SL batted out their 50 overs and provided a target that may be enough if England have a bad day. Bairstow's latest failure suggest he may have a point.

Old war horse Malinga tearing through a line up one last time would probably be the coolest catalyst for an upset ever

Not sure if Malinga is getting swing on this or its a by product of his own gravitational field. Guy's making me look like an athlete. Still absolutely love his action mind

That's 2 brilliant run outs and a great catch for Udana this tournament. Fielder of the tourney so far.

Just got home and this is an unexpectedly interesting game matched with an unexpectedly dreadful match thread. Ffs.

Matthews' innings is looking better by the minute. Shades of 2016 when his batting set up that famous test win at this venue.
