You cant compare the current Bangers team to what it was 5 years ago. They did a breakdown in their first game of the 5 year blocks showing their win rate compared to SLs introduction. Its taken them till now to finally catch up. It doesnt mean theyll be world beaters all of a sudden but the fringe players no longer look village. Theyll be better than WI in another 5

Yeah, scoffed at that.Two teams have chased down big scores in this ground and Bang well on course to be the third, so Simon Doull reckons the guy taking care of the pitch should get groundsman of the tournament award.

Not once but twice! 4-0 in 2010 and 3-0 in 2013. Really can't see a kiwi justify Bangla's position in world cricket considering their record against them in recent times.
It also speaks volumes about NZ cricket and how far they've come from the pathetic display in the lead up to the 2011 WC.

it's because they bottle it all the time and i really, really hate mushfiqur's appealling. their home pitches suck for cricket too because the turn is slow and not fast.
then you look at zimbabwe who have massive issues but pull off test wins and odi wins against big teams every so often. bangladesh have a white wash against nz in odis and wins against west indies, and most of their success is thanks to one player because he's the only bloke who can take a wicket for less than a million.
they are almost single handedly sabotaging the case for associates to get chances because they're a full member and they suck so much.

and yeah look i fully expect everyone to think i hate them because they beat us once but honestly nobody cares about that anymore and there are far better reasons to hate their crappy team. they're only going to beat noted heavyweights scotland because they're good at beating up on medium pacers. the bowling certainly isn't going to win a game any time soon against anyone good unless shakib and mortaza take 5 each.

Oh and Musfiqur is awesome, and his appealing isn't even close to the dog-in-a-blender yelping of Jayawardene...at least IMO.
Also, I'm talking about their ODI cricket (since this is a ODI WC) & considering they're the main reason we plummeted down to 9th in 2013, you should show them a little more respect.
Scotland have been so competitive in all their games and deserve better than to go home winless.

because their game is trying not to lose.
slow turn sucks. you can't score runs and taking wickets is hard. it creates draw cricket. i'd be quite happy if they prepared bunsens and picked their small army of spinners and went hard. i'd respect that.
