A bit like how he went for 43 off his 10.
It genuinely seems like you think it'd be better for Mathews to bowl 10 overs for 43 and Perera to bowl 5 overs for 30 than for for Mathews to bowl 8 overs for 25 and Perera to bowl 7 overs for 45 sometimes though. That's just silly.

Huge wicket, SL needed that. If they can limit to under 300 they'll feel much better #sayingnothingnewinthispost

I never said Angelo should bowl at the death - he is happy bowling just 6 overs for 25 and then lets Perera bowl 8 overs for 56.

Apparently average score batting first here is 220 in last 5 years. Normally a different pitch?

Perhaps he thinks that if he bowls some of the overs Perera is bowling he'll get an even worse result though -- something like Mathews bowling 8 overs for 40 and Perera bowling 6 overs for 44. Or perhaps he thinks Perera is more likely to take wickets than he is, and turns to him when he wants to break a partnership.

I actually agree that Mathews should probably bowl a bit more and Perera should have to bowl a bit less, but having good figures in one part of the innings doesn't mean you should bowl out in another part. A big part of why Mathews has good figures is the fact that he's used at the right times. Sometimes your logic is very broken on this issue.

The thing is, Angelo is a better death bowler too - there is never a point where Perera is a better option.
