With both McKay and Hart playing for Otago that is about as high on the tall/fast spectrum as most NZ domestic teams are likely to get.

Yet, it was Luke Georgeson's medium pacers that ripped the top off the Wellington order. NZ cricket, the more you change the more you stay the same.

I assume same reason as Seifert Neesham etc - these players have turned down NZ / domestic contracts as they are looking for T20 league contracts, and NZC want to develop backup players who are available for all NZ games / tours.

Obviously a different approach if you are an automatic pick in top XI but turned down a NZ contract - Williamson and Conway.

Dunno. Probably not considered as he's not contracted. But don't know.
