2024–25 NZ domestic season

Findlay is an interesting young seam bowler. Into the side as a 21 yr old with all the change-ups and variations for short form cricket. Doesn't really look like he has a stock fast ball. Most young seamers are the other way round, of course.

Still, he's tall and lean and looks like he should have the potential to bowl 130 and become a first-class bowler too.
Just watching him bowl very well to Jacobs. Horne on comms suggesting to CD coach Ben Smith that Findlay's action is similar to Pat Cummins.

Also, Simon Keene looked pretty good opening the batting (I just watched the over where he hit a couple of sixes off Randell and pulled a four).

More common than not that these starts aren't converted into a mega score, but in theory on track for about 230 here.

Clarke very destructive.

Strange how Clarke goes through periods where he seems to be struggling, but then he changes gears.

He's gone from 29 (25) to 81 (46) here.

Looks like Northern's record partnership for the first wicket is 165, set back in 2013.

EDIT: Not anymore. New highest score for Clarke too.

G Phillips may be the worse catcher I have seen at top level .

All palm, zero fingers.

Him making good ground to be in a position to take a catch is like watching Timo Werner being 1-on-1 with the keeper.
