2024–25 Australian Domestic Season

Think we need to think about scrapping the toss if this continues. I just can't see how this is good for Australian cricket.
I'd like to see the points system change.

Give away the same amount of points for each game. If it's a draw the teams will get a similar amount each, first innings leads and contrived bonus points tipping the balance slightly.

Giving away so many more points in result games just means curators are incentivised to make sure there are no draws.

I didn't realise it was only one point for a draw vs six for a win. That's insane. Small wonder the pitches have been as they are.

I'm guessing this was an initiative to encourage pitches that were less batting friendly? If so, they succeeded.

The last time they used bonus points coincided with poor scores and a dearth of batsmen. I hated it back then and hate it now. I don’t think you can reform it just get rid of it.

Konstas taking a very different approach to this innings than he did in the Tests he played

Neser and Bartlett is a damn good new ball attack tbf, but he's mostly been looking to leave here early doors

WA has been serving up some dreadful pitches this summer.

I see there's been a reversion to U19 World Cup form with Konstas struggling and Dixon looking good.
