Maybe rest marsh for webster if you bring in barlett? The only question with Bartlett is if the powers that be think he has enough red ball bowling under his belt at this stage, especially if Marsh is still in the team and not able to contribute much in the way of overs
Skills wise he looks like he absolutely has what it takes imo
It was a tight situation, a bad deck too. 20 runs out there is worth a hundredA fairly typical JFM innings, if somewhat longer than usual.
At 4-331 when he came in, I'll take it. Just know though that he wouldn't have changed his approach in the slightest if he came to bat at 4-31 though
Yeah, like Bradman, just slightly less of a wankerIt was a tight situation, a bad deck too. 20 runs out there is worth a hundred
Bradman averaged 20 on wet wickets. Mcgurk is twice the player.Yeah, like Bradman, just slightly less of a wanker
That's the thing, it wasn't like he was getting picked purely on underage runs. He did get a pretty absurdly long rope and he did have to go eventually, but there was definitely a player there IMO.Sangha actually made lots of runs in Sydney grade to keep getting recalled too.
He's still averaging slightly more for the season than Gilkes is fwiwHas Davies lost his #4 spot already as Gilkes is slotted in above him in all the scorecards. Really is having a poor season
Yeah I think they just think batting him lower might get the most out of him at this stage. He's still averaging slightly more for the season than Gilkes is fwiw
He has managed two fifites in his last two games in fairness. Very lucky that Philippe got picked for a couple of T20 matches.Gilkes relentlessly getting picked still sucks though. Being back Larkin.
