Adding on every second that’s wasted helps a lot. It still breaks up the flow of the game but the refs can’t really complain about that when they’re taking 5 minutes over a straightforward VAR decision.
They should still throw yellows about as well as adding the time on though. Salford had the ref in their pocket yesterday. At one point what looked a stonewall handball pen for us wound up being a drop ball (given to them even though we were in possession in the final third) because the defender who may have handled it went down holding his head. They did this all game! Granted that’s a hard one to give a yellow for, but. But yeah the stoppage time should make a difference in due course

It's astonishing to think how many players they're missing too, given the dispute with their manager. Ah well, we can't win them all.
A bit of a myth, most of them made up (the good ones anyway). there were 9 Barcelona players in the squad - European Champions (plus 2 from England). They obviously still didn't like him judged by celebrations at the end.

But they were technically superior and deserved it. Just a shame they ruined the last half hour with all that shithousery. Ref was useless, if it takes you 5 mins to decide if you've made a clear and obvious error, then you probably haven't (although you had). Earps was miles off her line for the penalty, why was it not retaken? Why was a second yellow bottled? Very poor, and a shame that a fantastic tournament ended like that.

Spain may well take a lot of beating over the next few years, but England were without 2 of their best too and no doubt Mead's creativity would've been a different angle for the game. England in good health despite the defeat.

You didn’t win. You celebrated not winning. It’s England’s Year of the Feted Non-Win.
Everyone (well, about three Aussie numpties) keeps saying this and I didn’t see any celebrations? A completely make believe thing that Aussies have been saying to console themselves about their own failings

You aren’t here, at the home of the WC where England supporters are deliriously celebrating a non-win. I’ve asked them about it, and they said they’re inspired to do it by their nation’s cricket team and fans.

I’m not saying it. The England fans here are saying it. Lots of them. Sad!

Haha yeah it's a total joke that they're buidling a statue for it.

The netballers won their World Cup and all we've got from the media on that is crickets.

I presume if the cricketers win their World Cup we'll be given netballs.

We always win the netball and men & women's cricket world cups though. They're like the Ashes. If we aren't holding them then there's something seriously amiss with the world.

People don't blink when we win those things because they're rightly expected of those who represent our country, the greatest sporting nation on Earth. If we don't win those titles then the teams deserve and receive public humiliation.

It's right you point this out because it's such a rare thing for England to win thing, which explains why it's a big deal over there.

Which also proves my point. We just take it for granted here, it's just not a big deal to us because we win things all the time.
