KPat needs to retire. Horrible to watch bat, awkward to look at as a human and if he's not going to be an international player anymore why subject us to him

This looks your standard Junction Oval highway so far

Could hear someone playing the bagpipes in the background earlier. I have absolutely no idea why

Normally on a beautiful day like this I’d go for a bike ride but unfortunately last weekend I busted my ankle an hour into the first practice game of the season. So I’ve hobbled to the junction oval to watch. Not been here before, very Basin Reserve vibes.

Jack Edwards looked really good with both bat and ball so far this year. Hopefully not an early crow and he's really kicking on

That walk across the stumps and flick to leg he was doing had worked pretty well for Harper most of the innings, always looks bad when you miss one though

Edwards coming good is massive for NSW - as his bowling will allow them to play an extra batter (which they're going to need to tbf)

His bowling is certainly heading very much in the right direction, no doubt about that. Still not quite willing to make the call on the batting for Edwards as there has been a couple of mini false dawns before, but the early signs are promising for him this season

Edwards made a big 100 at the back end of last shield season, didn't he? Probably is just a false dawn. Sangha had half a season recently across bbl and shield where he looked like he may genuinely be international quality then ****ed off again.

Should have seen that one coming really

Sam Elliott apparently played that pull shot "just like his dad". Apart of course from the very slight detail that Sam is right handed.
