It's all a giant conspiracy to keep Starc's bowling average under 30 imo.I don't understand why wides aren't called more often in Tests.
Yeah if you had one from each side it goes a fair way of nullifying any bias. Plus now we have the DRS anyway....No.
Much like in 09 when we'd have been better off with Willey and Taufel for all 5 games. One from each side would raise the standard so much and I doubt us fans would care.
The worst ones are where it's so wide down leg that the keeper doesn't get to it and it goes down as 4 byes. IIRC there was a Test between England and SL a few years back which had like 50 byes which all should have been wides. It's all a giant conspiracy to keep Starc's bowling average under 30 imo.
Because batsmen change into Mr. Fantastic in Tests obv.I don't understand why wides aren't called more often in Tests.
Been almost as bad as the batting today.Man these umpiring mistakes.
Sure wish there was no DRS so people would be less unhappy though.
**** that was sharp from you. 10/10.Probably because it's all you've had at your age
Sure but it does feel like the actual rule isn't being applied most of the time.Because batsmen change into Mr. Fantastic in Tests obv.
But in seriousness, I like that Tests allow bowlers some leeway for settling into a decent rhythm. They have enough going against them in the other forms anyway. It's good Tests remain eccentric like that.
There's more leeway, yes, but that ball was heading towards fine leg.Because batsmen change into Mr. Fantastic in Tests obv.
