Haha that's because "rolled for 36" on its face is more a story of Indian failure than Australian excellence. It really was the opposite though. Best collective session of bowling I've ever seen live, I think.
Yeah it's one of the only times i've seen where the batting side who got rolled for a double digit score was basically blameless in how they batted.

What do Australia do next game now? Would be a bit harsh to drop green after one game but with warner coming back its a hard call.

Bradman, McGrath & Ponting were all dropped in first couple of tests & did them no harm

Never said dropping him would do any long term damage, just think dropping him after his first test is a bit rough. Especially when he hasn't really done anything well. Bowled and fielded well and got out to a 1/10 chance catch from kohli playing an admittedly stupid shot.

If they retain Burns as Warner's partner, Wade could slip down to 6 with Head missing out.
Yeah this seems likely. Or Wade misses. Can see Green being retained - 5 bowlers on that dirge of a deck is a must imho

Oh, here’s Harsha from Mumbai for a stint.

they will probably keep burns as he is one of few specialist openers, been fighting this 2nd innings in a winning side, and the other opener is a concussion prone youngster(not a test material - sheffield shield only). Pucovski has had 9 concussions in a young career, thats not international standard whatsoever

Burns currently is batting quite well here, his score is more than the entire indian team in this test(!)

travis head looks in line to be dropped for the returning david warner. He has been looking shakey throughout his career, not a convincing test match batsman at all.
Green stays for his bowling, can chip in with 15-20 economical overs of medium pace, thats big plus on a flat track. His batting at test level needs to be more patient.

for indians, gill and kl rahul will be included immediately for kohli (flying home) and prithvi. Prithvi will be dropped ASAP for his double failing, and his general poor form. Dont see prithvi as international standard post his injuries and ban. completely different player now. Surely pant deserves a look in, he's devastating with the bat. Can swap in pant for saha, keeping isnt that important as they keep way back.

rohit can only be included from test no.3.

Bowling wise, jadeja may not be fit yet and shami may be injured. So siraj comes in. Either way i dont see india winning a test match based on this form.

Aus's pace bowling attack is probably their best its ever been.

the shot was fine, the execution was bad. You can’t pat back a half tracker from an offie unless it’s the last over before stumps
We where 4/60 and where just starting to rebuild after head got out playing a stupid shot off ashwin.

What, so you block a half tracker? If you’re a test batsman and you aren’t pulling that session two, day two you shouldn’t be in the side. The fact he shanked it doesn’t mean it was the wrong shot

this is how Ashwin should be treated outside India.

The idea that you don’t put a half tracker away is ridiculous
