For those playing along at home, Robinson sent down a ball at 118km/hr, Brett Lee waited a few minutes and then brought up that the fastest female bowler in the world bowls at 118km/hr, as if it was totally unrelated.
Sounds like he was having a crack at females in general rather than Robinson tbh. "This injured pom is barely even moving bowling 118, btw that's as fast as the best woman ever"

Assault on Leach was a really good tactical decision who ever made it
It really was, especially as lefties have tended to be better against Australia than offies recently, and even though he seems to have gone okay in the A match, Bess is even less accurate.

Probably permanently damages the Leach's career too, especially as Root has no faith in him to start (his non-selection last home season was ridiculous).

Plus it made them grind the quicks to the ground

Surely the tactic to go after Leach was a fairly predictable one? Day one, no turn, a man short of cricket, two set batsman when he came on, put Root under serious pressure to turn to his three main seamers who are undercooked or Stokes who is massively undercooked. It was well executed for sure but a tactic that seemed fairly obvious.

You would except them to be fairly positive with strike rotation but not necessarily 90 of 10

Interesting that Starc is batting properly. Usually just comes out and tries to hit sixes. Probably knows his spot could be under a bit of pressure and helps if he's making runs

Yeah it wasn't just "target the spinner", it was "smash this **** every ball".

He didn't even bowl particularly poorly, they just trused their ability to come down the wicket, get close enough to pitch and launch him, and it worked.

Yes maybe not 90 off 10 but I did expect them to go hard, it’s not a unique approach in Australia against England with finger spinners they don’t really rate.
