But its not a contest though.

Test cricket is great but the pinnacle series have to be more competitive.

Last year we got an all time great series with Indian reserves who beat the hosts , however this time round this shower of shite are contributing sfa bar mediocrity.

I get Australia enjoy dishing out the hammerings, but even they must be thinking " rather be playing India or South Africa" for competitive reasons.

Ffs as I’m about to reply Jos goes.

but there’s enough signs in this Test of us having a crack. We’ve been our own enemies in this one. I’m not saying it couldn’t be 5-0 but I wouldn’t say watching this that the gap between the sides is that big

It was so weird when people were talking about England winning yesterday. This isn't a dig at England but teams have been 2 down for 200 plus like forever only to crumble

Think it is in Australia. Replace Starc with Richardson and Harris with Usman and its a very good Aust side at home

Yeah you are probably right.

England always throw in one utterly wretched effort in every test series so hopefully this is it.

I suppose the consolation is that while England look awful this test, I don't think is a peak Aussie side as lets not forget Indian reserves beat them last year.

Famous last words, but not sure England can play as bad the rest of the series.

I mean, I probably said it, but I doubt anyone actually meant it

Yeah but we have two ATG pacers on the bench for some reason.

coulda woulda shoulda but the margins in this Test have been pretty small. Basically what I’m saying is it’s all Rory Burns’ fault
