RRR not an issue if these two take it deep IMO (despite MSD's recent struggles). But no harm building pressure at all, Pandya in particular is going to look for a release.

Would bring back Henry though, do not want him having to bowl in a death overs scenario against this lot.

Wait why are we all assuming Dhoni decided he was going to bat at this time? I honestly don't see the problem here, the Pandya/Pant partnership was going fine until Pant actually got out. Had they added another 50 runs Dhoni could have realistically finished the game with jadeja and bhuvi with less than a 100. My issues with this team are a little different, like KL simply not good enough as an opener in testing conditions, the guy is simply to uncertain as whether he should attack or play the bowlers out, in the case of the latter he doesn't have the tecnique to whether the storm IMO, therefore he should simply hack his way to a 20 (10) which would be so much more useful. I MISS DHAWAN! :(
God bless Pat Cummins. I knew the moment it happened that it would cost India later dearly. If India lose here , they have massively trolled their fans I'm the last two WC.

Surprised India doesn't have anyone. You would think there would be no shortage of middle order batsmen for India
I can bet there's at least 6 guys out there waiting to boss it. They've just managed their options in the lead up to the WC poorly

Most of India's batting talent bats Top 3 domestically, so that's a big issue.

But despite that there is plenty of talent, but also plenty of mismanagement. The batsmen we've groomed over the past 4 years wasn't even in the squad (Rayudu). The middle order batsmen who have actually won us games from the middle order (Pandey, Karthik) were chopped and changed and not given an extended run. And then the middle-order players who do the job domestically or in the IPL don't get a look in at International level for some reason.
