Free State (65/1) annihilated Hampshire (64) but are out because their idiot manager forgot to submit his team on time.

Ahem , yes we would all like to think that free state can beat hampshire !

we are the winners cause we passed round 1 and your out .. my team just let you have the consolation win since we knew we won it already !

well nsw manager bugs malone is not happy and was seen throwing a cricket boot at star player s lee's face cutting his eye in discust.

nsw previously winers of the vb cup didnt turn up to play and have been knocked out in the first round.


bugs malone was heard to be saying to m waugh,( nsw juniordevelopment officer) that he was not happy with some of the members perfomances and that players where going to be dumped in what could be a major sacking in weeks to come.

nsw feta side south sydney shires (where heard to be saying) they would be happy to take some of the players.


stay tuned as the side that boosts 11 internationals will come under big changes .

Qld had a relatively easy win against Canterbury. Canterbury were bowled out for 98 with Bichel 2/26 and Hopes 3/16 shining. Qld made the runs off 16 overs but lost 7 wickets in doing so. Hayden 30 top scored.

A daring win by Tasmania!

In the best game of the round Tasmania held on to win by 4 runs. With the opponents needing five off two the result could have gone either way! But Gillespie bowled a ripper to win the game by 4.

LANCASHIRE hammer Western Province

Western Province batted first and were undone by another sensational bowling spell from M.Mendis to be rolled for 59 all out in the 12th over. Mendis had destroyed Kent with figures of 6/34 in a Division 1 OD game a couple of weeks back, but he outdid that here as he finished with 6/2! R.Llewellyn stood out like a sore toe amongst the Western Province batsmen with an innings of 39.

Lancashire were untroubled in polishing off the 60 runs required for victory, taking out the match by 7 wickets to progress through to the next round.

Yorkshire v Surrey

Yorkshire went into this game favourites after a win against Surrey only 2 weeks ago. Yorkshire has never not made it through to the second round either.

After an ok start surrey were blown out of the water with 7 wickets from adams including a hat trick wow what a man.

Then only 3 wickets fell to get the runs another win for the Yorkshire men.

The season is going alright for us and next game we will be playing a good team but we will come out victorious.
