He was a much better batsman at age 19 than he is now at 28....which is mental.
Sign that he hasn't really paid attention to his batting talent.

Who's a better overall batsman - Stuart Broad or Mitch Johnson?

Hmmm...could be an interesting chase if Scotland can get through the initial new ball burst without taking the same kind of damage they suffered against NZ.
Well, if they learned anything from McCullum the other day, they'll know that using their feet & moving around the crease does put the English bowlers off their stride.

Easier said than done of course, but for me I'm not sure poking and prodding to try & get through the new ball will do them too many favours.

How's the Scottish batting?
Couple of nice strokes early on, but a couple of wild swipes with no footwork as well.

If they're going to swing wildly, they're better to use their feet to get momentum into the shot.

How's the Scottish batting?
Not as good as their bowling. generally. They do bat all the way down though.. their #8 (Davey) used to bat four for them and their #9 (Majid) opened for a little while and scored a big ton at #3 once too. Machan's their best bat so if they can get a good start before he comes in, they're a chance.. definitely more of a bowling side though.

Loving Kyle Coetzer's strock play. I hope he stays in and goes big.

Looks like England had a good recovery from 200 odd for 4. About to read the thread now.
