New Zealand are at a different level in their home world cup and being shot down for a handful is inexcusable but I would still put them ahead of West Indies and Pakistan.

england are the sort of team which will be very good against anyone even slightly worse (or on-paper equal) to them and very, very bad against those teams which are better of them (because of their obvious structural weaknesses with bat and ball)

Yeah England are the 'old' NZ in that respect. I remember a time when no side would destroy the minnows quite like NZ did, but when a good side came along....
