SA can still win this world cup but they need to do two things:
1) Bring in Riley for Parnell
2) Bring in Abbott for Philander

Mclaren's omission was a big mistake - nothing they can do about that now but they can realise that they'll probably get more out of Riley
than Behardien (who's a very mediocre player) and Parnell (who has never really improved all that much from his u-19 days).

I think Vernon is a bit too predictable on Aussie pitches - Abbott will get a bit more out of them with his height.

Nope. They genuinely raise their game in the field when there is a trophy or something at stake. Asia Cup, Champions Trophy, T20 WC, all that stuff.

Each of these guys look really good in the field in the IPL too.

1) they are a batsman short
2) 300 is a bloody good score at the G
