India are doing this perfectly. Get past the first 10 overs without losing a lot vs SA and cash in later. SA are not very good at the death. Steyn is not a reliable death bowler (not that many are).

McLaren not much better imo. I feel like SA need a dibbly-dobbly medium pacer with good control and variations instead of another pacer that can get hit for runs at latter half of the innings. Someone in the Grant Elliott/Angelo Mathews/Mohit Sharma type.

Mclaren went through 2013 being our best bowler and in 2014 only tahir shaded him... A bad tour of australia and suddenly its gg to him.
