The score predictor must have money on Australia. 250 odd is going to be very difficult from here.

Massive innings that. One again Smith has dug Australia out of a hole and into a defensible position.

Australia can now afford to up the ante after the 40th. All because of the best batsman of the last 30 years.

Smith. Just class. Looks like he could comfortably bat for a fortnight if he so chose.

Smith has looked scratchy and out of nick all day.
I think it would effect him to an extent as he's walking out to bat or when he's in the filed, as he's quite sensitive. But once he's at the crease he's so aspy he's just in his own bubble and probably doesn't hear a thing,

Nah when he's truly in, he looks like a brick wall. You bowl at him and pings straight off, all day.
The ones I've watched he pretty much never looked like getting out
I meant he's not the most fluent batsman to watch in any case.

I suppose what makes him so much better than a Root or a Kohli is that he can string together a scratchy innings like today when out of nick.

He's doing a passable impression of Steve Waugh's 1999 heroics against South Africa.

Aus probably safe already.
Dunno about that, but if he bats to the 50th he'll make a ton and there'll be something to bowl at. These runs won't do NCN's confidence any harm either. Hits it clean when he connects. Been jammy AF though.
