Cricket Web Under 19s will embark on their first ever tour of Asia during this off season. The tour will include a Tri-Nations tournament involving Bangladesh, the home team, Sri Lanka and Cricket Web. After the complication of this Tri-Nations tournament Cricket Web will visit Pakistan and India for two three Test Match series.

This tour is by far the biggest tour that the Under 19s have undertaken since their establishment two seasons ago. The tour will be used as a major learning curve for the players both on and off the field. Allowing them experiencing the rich cricketing cultural that only the sub continent can provide and varying style of cricket that is need in these conditions. This tour will be used as another step in the Under 19 Board's objective to produce well rounded cricketers, who have play to their potential from varying pitch conditions of Europe, Africa and Asia.

Surprised Mumbai didn't get a test.
The three grounds were the grounds that Australia Under 19s played at a couple years back. Jack played in that series so it just made it easier doing the ground conditions.

Personally I hope that this coincides with club cricket, because otherwise we're in serious danger of burning out our young players - 10 Tests and about the same ODIs in 1 off season is a heck of a lot for a team with experience, but for 17 and 18 year olds, it's potentially dangerous to their development.

Hoping i'm in with an OD chance, despite having a limited CW Red career to date. Good luck to all those eligable for selection, and here's to hoping the team rolls on from it's dominant form in Africa :)

5 Days Later any closer to the dates?
We are finalising when the games can be simmed, etc etc. Few things left to be done. Large tours don't just arrive over night :p

After that announcement of the tour dates, discussions of the squad will commence.
