I'd love to say I enjoyed this season, but I didn't. Some good things (Ian, Reds finally challenging, the introduction of U19s) but really I thought Season X was the worst I've seen yet. Credit to Black and Blue though... dominated in one form.

Worst you've seen? Is that based on you not getting as many runs as you wished? ...

Well, if I say "the worst I've seen", then quite obviously it's regarding me personally...

The swap over between Liam and Hakon, the lack of a "Quick Link Results" thread, the farce of an U/19's tour and the unorganised grade season contributed. I hardly ever knew when a game was on...

Maybe you should have been checking the threads more regularly, not to mention the archive - which included the schedule which was posted at the start of the season which was kept to the entire way through. :p

Put yourself in Butler's shoes. One of the best young batsmen in the national side at the start of the season. He played most of the season at Grade level. Just 129 runs in 9 innings with a highest of 31.

It's obvious is it?

If I hear someone say "I didn't enjoy this season, there were some good points (from red) but it was the worst i've seen" means they are commenting on the league globally.

Hardly obvious that you are commenting on your own personal game if you ask me.

As for Stedman's call, if you thought it was so disorganised, then perhaps put your hand up or even offer some constructive comments -during- the season, not just a whinge at the end.

The only downside of the cricket web system, as far as I've ever seen, is lack of gratitude towards the people who do the work. Kudos to them.

Eh? When I said I've seen, I meant me personally. I've always been vocal in my appreciation for the work that Liam and co., and this is the best season Red have had whilst I've been playing. I'm truly hurt you'd think otherwise :p

Yeah, you meant what you meant, but just stating that it wasn't so obvious in what you meant :P

To be fair to James, he's requested the Quick Link results thread several times during the season, and the reason why it was never updated is because I lacked the awesome p0wers to do so. As for grade, I think we can all agree that it was quite appalling this year - hopefully it'll run more smoothly next season (with BC simming time cut down by 2/3 I expect it will)

Yeah got to agree with that even though i wasn't at the club for your first season, we were right up there all season, but probably lacked a bit of experience in comparison to Black and Blue when it counted to get us over the line. But you never know the Colts could pull something off against the Blacks and our season might not be over.

On a personal note its pretty disappointed to still be in the same position as i was a season ago. I did get a ok run in ODs in the last two seasons, but never really found my feet with the ball. I think my average is like near 50, but my batting average is still over 20, pretty good for a lower order batsmen. It might be even higher then Thamba's averages.

FC i don't think i have done that bad in the seven games i played, averaging in the mid 20s and getting a 5wh. Probably the only personal highlight for me this season. But i guess im just unlucky that my better form is also the form that our established bowlers are also better at.

With Daniels keeping the match archive it's hardly necessary to have the quick links thread. That said, I have to get around to getting Haakon some moderator duties.

Also, the swap over day was stated explicitly in the schedule, which is quite easily attainable. I don't see why it would be a problem to keep track of it.

Yeah it's my own fault I didn't go looking for the schedule. Where was it in the end?

The problem with not having an updated Quick Links thread isn't stats tracking it's coming online and checking that thread straight up to see the scorecard rather than going to the discussion and go back through several pages of "Great win Blues" before you find the scorecard by which time you already know the result.
