    Imran Khan vs Waqar Younis

Both gents were unbelievable in at their best. 2 of the greatest sights cricket has ever seen.

    Brian Lara vs Sunil Gavaskar

I clearly answered the set question by saying Lara was better. No, genius is clearly identified when it is seen. It's that quality that lets a person do what seems beyond the ability of other people. Pele, Maradona, Ali - you know it when you see it. Lara has it, Gavaskar - brilliant though he...

    Brian Lara vs Sunil Gavaskar

This is the problem with leaving half a post out. I clearly said they were "geniuses". Sachin was brilliant, Ponting was brilliant, Smith is extraordinary but none of them are geniuses. Genius is something you know when you see it. Other bats worked day and night and became run machines, those 3...

    Brian Lara vs Sunil Gavaskar

This is quite easy. It's Lara. Him, Viv and Sobers stand alone for me in the post war period. They were all geniuses.

    Jack Hobbs vs Viv Richards

I dont think a truly valid comparison can be made as the conditions were way too different. That said, if a h2h must be done: Viv wins. He faced incredible bowling, dominated like no one before or after and was far ahead of his time.

    Imran Khan vs Waqar Younis

Imran was better, but Waqar is an ATG. Prime Waqar is as good as a bowler can be. He was a force of nature until 92/3. Overall though, Imran as he also had an insane prime. I always think it is only valid to compare players at their best - as that is how we envision these guys in the H2H...

Will Kane Williamson get to 10,000 test runs?

    He'll get there.

Where would Saqlain Ajmal rank among the all-time great spinners?

Nonsense thread. Saqlain is a great, Ajmal was iffy.

Name an overrated and an underrated cricketer

Him vs Garner is the final pick. I just find Amby and Joel offer similar USPs so may opt for Andy over Joel. Marshall, Holding and Ambrose are locks.

Name an overrated and an underrated cricketer

On this, Andy Roberts is underrated. Obviously WI have had a long list of great quicks but Andy gets overlooked. He was an incredible bowler. Might make my AT WI xi as the 4th quick.

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Sydney Barnes

People are going too far. He is a world class bowler but he's not yet toppling giants.

    Kohli Test Average

He is fairly well short of it and it is a fair reflection. He is a very very good bat but not an ATG great. Indian great, yes.

Rank the trophy in order of importance

ODI world cup WTC T20 WC ICC CT These are the global trophies. If you afford importance to tests (I do), then various test series wins have their own importance. They however cannot be fairly compared to a multiteam comp.

Which current players are/will be ATGs?

The number of certified T1 ATGs is miniscule: To illustrate: WI has: Sobers, Marshall, Viv, Lara, Headley who immediately come to mind. Ambrose is there abouts. As it is 4 of those guys make my AT world test XI.

Which current players are/will be ATGs?

This is a matter of definition. As I posted months ago, I feel to be a true ATG you have to be a valid contender/shortlisted for a place in an AT World XI or 2nd XI. Those guys are the T1 ATGs. T2 ATGs are those remarkable cricketers who may just miss out on the first category - but each will...

Best bowler to average over 30 ?

This is a tough one. Lots of very good bowlers ave 30+. Spinners, Lyon I guess. Pacers: much tougher.

Is Bumrah the best cricketer India has ever produced?

He is far and away the best bowler India have ever had. He is India's first great fast bowler. He adds more value to their team [current and hypothetical AT XIs] than any other player as he is unique. So, yes.

Which type of players are hardest to find ?

The genuine test quality allrounder is by far the rarest. I don't mean the "bowls a bit, bats a bit" player. The world class allrounder who adds balance and can win a game with bat or ball.

50 years of sir vivan Richards first test hundred

Best batsman who has ever lived. WRT to the usual names - Viv did it in the modern era, against truly great bowlers. He dominated incredible opposition, he left a psychological impact, he has peerless peer review. Best ever.

    Most Handsome Cricketer?

This is a thread that doesn't really relate to cricket, but asthetically - the most handsome cricketers I've seen are: Imran Khan Jason Holder Those 2 stand out for me as being exceptionally handsome. They'd pull even if they were't famous.
