The pressure & expectations of big tournaments like WCs eh

Yep well done NZ ladies, already performed above expectations which hopefully should see them play with a little less pressure in the semis especially if they do meet powerhouse England as expected. Personally from a NZ POV I hope WI get up, because while they can be brilliant on their day, they...

G Smith > Greenidge as an opening bat for me and you get the added bonus of his captaincy Also that ROW pace bowling attack is easily the strongest of the 3 sides

I'm don't think Chapman is a bad option to be honest, he is one of our better bats on slower turning tracks albeit in the white ball forms.

Gutted KW misses the first and spoils my wishful thought of him turning that particular kinks in his Test record by scoring 600 runs in the 3 tests series with 3 hundreds & averaging 120 and hence turning around his ordinary record in India ..now he only has 2 Tests to improve it.

Awesome result. New Zealand sportswomen doing the country proud in the last couple of months, 8 out of 10 of NZ Olympic Golds were won by women, and Lydia Ko winning The British Open after that.

Sadly I think you're right unless it's a Sehwag/Warner/McCullum (to a lesser extent) style Test opener, which are rare as hen's teeth.

Good to see the penny has dropped and you've finally come around to this patently obvious conclusion even if you are 12-18 months later on it vs. some of us. This decision to make him test skipper in the first place was always absurd since even at that time he was clearly diminishing as a bowler.

Shouldn't happen, Will Young is a very poor man's Devon Conway, looks all at sea against decent quality pace & spin bowling. Was basically a walking wicket against Australia when he did replace an injured Conway. And yes Conway's average has dropped below 40, but Young's is 26. The only...

Has chief selector Southee decided to drop himself yet? Yet another outing as nothing more than a passenger in the team, meaning we're essentially playing with 10 men. Took 1 of the 20 SL wickets taken for 87 runs, (and of course that one wicket was a gift wicket), and as usual offered nothing...

Lara is nothing more than an AT VG ODI bat for mine, and should be nowhere near an AT XI. Also with ABD in the side who can keep makes Dhoni's selection superfluous doesn't it? I'd rather either Klusener, Bevan or even Flintoff ahead of Dhoni at 6.

I still don't get why KW was retained as white ball skipper, and not red ball, but that train has long left the station & who knows maybe that was his decision. Of those you mentioned, I'd like any of those 3 above Timmy obviously, but would be leaning on Mitchell for a couple of years in which...

^ And this from one of Southee's staunches fans and defenders for so many years, and this penny dropped for you a couple of years ago, yet Stead still doesn't get it. SMH.
