Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

We have our 12 drafters finalised along with the randomised order for round 1 so Line & Length to kick things off. A reminder you get a maximum 10 hours when you pick rolls around or the next person gets to go. Line & Length Honestbharani Bitmap Zinzan Pothas Himannv Silver Silva CricAddict...

Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

Alrightly - Here's a reminder of the rules since they were modified slightly; Concept/Rules: Drafters need to end up with a consecutive 11 year period e.g 1980-1990 (inclusive) & will need to select 11 players born in every year of their said 11 year period. This can be in any order you...

Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

12's a good number so will allow for 1 more & will kick it off tomorrow morning my time (10-12 hours).

Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

This is now confirmed & incorporated in the rules.

Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

Yeah, I was thinking about that to allow more flexibility, and am open to it if most others are on board.

Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

I suspect that will be unlikely if we have 10-11 drafters, but yes if you know ahead of time that no one else shares a year/ or years with you then I guess you could pick at once, although it would probably take a bit of the fun & suspense out of it.

Consecutive Year of Birth Test Draft:

Been a long time between drafts for me but it is that time of year. Hopefully this exact concept hasn't been done already. Ideally requiring 10-11 drafters. Concept/Rules: Drafters need to end up with a consecutive 11 year period e.g 1980-1990 (inclusive) & will need to select 11 players...

    *Official* Big Bash League 14 - 2024/25

Think I mentioned to you recently that Seifert is a much better batsman nowdays against pace than he was a few years ago when he looked completely out of sorts against Meredith and Jhye Richardson in that T20 series in NZ.

    2024–25 NZ domestic season

Good to learn Jamieson is back. I see he turns 30 at the end of the month & just hope he still has the zip he had prior to this latest injury & can stay fit to be ready for the key 2026/27 series in Australia. A 4-prong pace attack of Henry, O'Rourke, Jamieson & Sears assuming all fit is...

Test Newcomer of the Year ?

Pleased I'm not the only one who wasn't especially impressed with Atkinson following the hype and small amount I'd seen of him prior to this series. Probably my NZ biased coming through here and don't want to Jinx the man, but O'Rourke has all the ingredients to be the best pace bowler in the...

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

I do like Chapman, but that's rough on Young given ODIs is arguably his strongest of the 3 forms (averaging 46 with a SR of 88) & based on the above logically he opens & KW bats his normal no. 3 spot. Also, did I miss something about Conway being unavailable? I know he's hasn't got a central...

I've probably been the toughest Tim Southee critic of all NZ'ders on CW but fair play to him for a solid career & wishing him well in his retirement. The best compliment I can pay him is for his amazing fitness to play so long across all forms of international cricket with such few injuries...

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

Read a post a few days ago suggesting Santner isn't good enough with the bat to potentially challenge Phillips for the no.7/all-rounder spot & I think there's decent argument that he can since his Test bowling seems to have turned a corner. Phillips has the edge with the bat averaging 33.8 vs...
