Both Southee and Boult seemed to have a pretty good eye. They didnt miss much that was full. Even off Siddle who most of the other batsmen havent been able to touch. Theyre young, With a bit of practice, application and trust in their fellow tailenders and their own ability, they might be...

i wouldnt be confident its flattened out. ausy are bowling with a 60+ over old ball. the new ball may still move around. 5 for 40 and the aussies will struggle to get 200

from my memory strauss, bopara and hick were all on the outer with England when they came to NZ. In the case of Hick and Strauss England were due to tour and they did it so that they would be conveniently located for selection BUT they still had to perform in the NZ comp else why select them...

I was referring to Hicks last stint in NZ. He did the same as Strauss didnt he, tried to get back in the team via the nz comp and tour. Ravi Bopara is another example, i dont know why they picked him though because he wasnt anything special over here.

i dont think we need to play county cricket. i think our comp is up to the task of fostering talent. Andrew Strauss came to New Zealand, dumped by the English team. His career was pretty much over. He played a season in NZs comp, based on that he was selected for the English team (I think...

Personally I think they underachieve. These batsmen have talent, they get stuck in 20/20 mode though. we've lacked a genuine pace bowler but players like mcgrath and hadlee prove you dont need to bowl 150 to be great. players who failed for us like franklin succeeded in the english county...

It seemed that Pattinson ignored Hughes when he took the catch to dismiss Mccullum. Pattinson also had a war of words with Taylor which Pattinson appeared to instigate towards the end of the day. Does Pattinson have a reputation at all in Aus in terms of attitude? I feel sorry for Hughes, I...
