Irrelevant, a cricketer doesn't need to have that sort of status to be necessarily classified as overrated. Well currently in East London where I am, a many english fans keep on going how hes the best batsmen of late, and arguably " the best batsmen in the world currently" . now this may be a...

Strauss - the backbone of english cricket for me, not the most naturally gifted but on his day his leg glances and cover drives are a gem to watch cant say the same for cook, IMO one of the most ovverated players you'll see, prown to swing and especially inswing getting him out via LBW! though...

    Garry Sobers v Imran Khan,Test Cricket:Poll

Both cricketers for me personally have epitomised what it means to be an allrounder, both in very different ways, have they succeeded and despite averages and statistics, IMO its very hard to sperate them. arguably you could look at Sobers and immediately say that he is the greatest we've seen...

If India wish to suceed in Oz which from the lookes of thing s currently doesnt seem overwhelmingly great, it would help for the openers to produce the goods. Gambhir and Sehwag both of recent have had though a though test year, and it shall be interesting to see how they approach the MCG...

    ICC Greatest Test Team

Funny you mention that, my great grandfather who was alive around 10 years ago was the reason I got into cricket! He would tell me stories of him growing up in England and Yorkshire etc in the early 1900's and one man he spoke so highly of was Sutcliffe, mind you this was before the likes of...

    ICC Greatest Test Team

hmm interest point you coin, at one point i was considering removing Lara for Warne, the right hander might remove that problem as I still feel my top 5 (with sobers replacing lara at 5) would be enough batting plus a few allrounders and gilly for batting! :-O:laugh:
