I mean they don't have de villiers either. That's a pretty big part of it.

    *Official* 3rd Test at Edgbaston

Root has been coming in so early so often already anyway that batting 4 really shouldn't be that much of a step up.

Holy ****. The new crop of left arm spinners in bangladesh is really promising.

Steve Smith to break Brian Lara's highest first class score record.

    *Official* 3rd Test at Edgbaston

I think the problem with ballance, which I used to compare to steve smith in terms of having a weird technique, is that he goes back across but doesn't put himself in a position where he could get his head over the ball. Steve Smith goes back tons too but what he actually does really well is to...

I'm talking about the reasons you stated. Technically poor (well, for tests) but if he goes off he can win the game in a session? You need stability at the top.

That's like asking glenn maxwell to bat 3. Which is so crazy that it surely would never happen.

You must hate watching australia then.

    *Official* 3rd Test at Edgbaston

You know one great thing about finally moving on from lords? Not having to hear the Ch 9 team talk about the ****ing slope.

Sam Robson also got a century but he got dropped as well. Realistically how many potential test openers are left in county cricket that hasn't failed as cook's partner? There has been so many already.

Nah, I definitely do think he needs to be more consistent before I consider him a full-time test spinner. I think he definitely has the tools to be a pretty good one though. He's like between part-timer and full-timer to me. Absolutely lethal to left-handed batsmen for whatever reason.

    *Official* 3rd Test at Edgbaston

Honestly thought he's bowling somewhat decent. People always think that if the quicks are doing ****-all the spinner should be reaping the wickets but the pitch was **** for spinners for the majority of the match really. Also hard to exert pressure when you haven't got the runs on the board or...

That's a terrible shot to play when you're trying to save a test.

    *Official* 2nd Test at Lord's

A bat sliding on the ground is safe, but that's not what bats are built for.

Stokes is such a dopey bastard.

Nah, it's the second innings after his team posted a big total in the first one. You can almost rest assured that he'll be doing fine.

    *Official* 2nd Test at Lord's

Oh I know, it's just that the majority of his international wickets now come from the English. :P
