*Official* West Indies Tour of England, JULY 9th to 25th, 2024-- 3 TEST MATCHES

That’s not what I’m saying and I think that’s an unfair generalisation - I’m not the token miserable England fan and in general I completely understand the mentality change they are going through. A champion mentality though is also one that understands that when you’re going at 5 an over in a...

*Official* West Indies Tour of England, JULY 9th to 25th, 2024-- 3 TEST MATCHES

England still not learning how to assert and let time be their friend after getting miles ahead of the curve and into the ascendancy. All for the positive approach, but when you’ve achieved the start don’t give anything away cheaply- let the bowlers suffer.

*Official* West Indies Tour of England, JULY 9th to 25th, 2024-- 3 TEST MATCHES

I’m at a loss to explain with any rationality why England batters are looking to do what they do when in complete control. This is international test match cricket- I am absolutely delighted to see an England team play with some intent instead of blocking their way to series defeats, and...

***Official***Match #25- England vs Sri Lanka- October 26th-Bengaluru(D/N)#BottomDwellers

This is a group of players who want to go home. They checked out long ago IMO- would love to know what on Earth has been going on.

***Official***Match #25- England vs Sri Lanka- October 26th-Bengaluru(D/N)#BottomDwellers

All over- trying to play like scalded cats - staggering lack of calm. At least we don’t have to drag out the hope any longer!

***Official***Match #25- England vs Sri Lanka- October 26th-Bengaluru(D/N)#BottomDwellers

England look like they are mentally back in 2015- I am staggered at the total lack of mental control they are showing. This would not have happened under Morgan leadership IMO. Something is seriously not right in this camp at the moment- they look all over the shop and no one looks very happy.

*Official* Opening Match- England v New Zealand- October 5th, Ahmedabad

Such a shame that it’s a neutral game picked first for this massive stadium- premier tournament of the sport and it’s practically empty. Anyone know what the ticket pricing was like locally?

*Official* Fifth Test (The Oval, London) 27-31 July

Great day for England, record chase required but it is still a good pitch so will need to bowl well to get ten wickets. Looks like rain around on Monday too.

*Official* India in West indies 2023

Really sad to see a great Test nation like the Windies in the doldrums like this. It’s sad for the whole game.

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

What pitch can we expect in Manchester? If I recall in the 2000s before they revamped the ground, it was a paceman paradise wasn’t it? Fast and great bounce. Think I remember Harmison getting a hatful v Pakistan around 2007? The 2013 ashes it seems a much more one paced wicket if I remember-...

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Mate with three world class seamers on what is essentially an Aussie, Perth-like wicket- I’m incredibly worried. I think we will need to ride our luck a little and let the fast outfield help us score quickly. Can easily see England being 100/5 and then another 150 from there is very difficult...

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Watching the 2001 Headingley rerun on Sky. I forgot those giddy days when England needed a wicket they they turned to Alan Mullally. Good Lord.

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Think England are in massive trouble here if we are a bowler short. Given Moeen his only reminded us just why he isn’t up to this level mentally, if we are relying on control or wickets from him then surely the Aussies are home and dry. If we don’t get their two openers early they’ll be 100...

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Bairstow confidence looked low I thought throughout his innings.

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Series over? Why oh why does this team not know how to leave on length on what is essentially an Australian pitch here at Headingley? So frustrating

*Official* Third Test (Headingley, Leeds) 6–10 July

Testing pitch to bat on with the pace and bounce this but if England batsmen can be positive without being gung-ho stupid, this might be one pitch where their approach to batting can be rewarded. Massive 6 wickets still to get and the score can move quickly, but restrict Aus to around 200 and...

*Official* 2022 New Zealand Tour of England, Ireland, Scotland & Netherlands

I don’t understand the criticism of this series in terms of it not being “proper” test cricket. It absolutely has been. It’s seen two proper first innings at Trent Bridge where both sides went to 500+, it hasn’t been green decks and swing bowlers paradise to allow teams to be skittled for 150...

*Official* 2022 New Zealand Tour of England, Ireland, Scotland & Netherlands

This test should signal loud and clear to Ben Stokes as to whether Jack Leach is up to Test Match spin bowling. In my view he is not threatening enough. Seems a good guy but doesn’t offer control or threat. New Zealand swatting him away in second gear as any world class side would do when the...

***Official*** 3rd Test at the WACA

How many times to England lose a wicket down leg side. Strange. What a pathetic performance by this team. Moeen has had an awful series. I hope we change the personnel and at least try and give Aus something to think about in Melbourne. Plunkett, Wood, Rashid to bowl. Hales to bat.
