    Dravid Fined for Ball Tampering

Thats fair enough then but think after this event the ICC must clarify what an artifical substance is. A cough sweets an artifical substance but you could argue that he simply spat, or licked his fingers to polish the ball and the sweet came out as well as spit. Meaning it wasnt deliberate. The...

    Dravid Fined for Ball Tampering

Your all not perhpas being a little over the top? what will a cough sweet do to the ball? Cant see how it'd help the bowler? Its just spit at the end of the day, which everyone puts on the ball anyway? If i'm wrong and there's is a benefit for some reason from a cough sweet, i agree with you...

    Best on line cricket game?

My vote goes to the bbc's ashes game "last man stading" is available at: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/hi/english/static/in_depth/cricket/2001/ashes/last_man_standing/default.stm Basically its brian lara cricket but you only bat, and you dont see where you hit the ball. There are four scenario's...

    Adam Gilchrist

So you dont rate Hayden's 380 just cos it was against Zim? I understand what you are saying but at the end of the day you've still got put the balls aways to get the runs, even if it is abit easier than it normally would be.

The question should be; who CAN face a bond inswinger? The guy's permanently injured.

Disagree his age is affecting his place in the team, agree he's been abit outta form recently. Form is temporary but class is permanent.

Dick, Scorebooks dont have pictures nor do they have a column for drop catches, so no one remembers when they were dropped, only what they scored. Regards.

Taibu shows promise with bat and gloves, i think his batting is a similar style to tendulkar, surprisingly wristy for a SA player. I accept jack is a better keeper  but lets be fair jacks international days are long gone, so current its still gilchrist :!( Read and Latif - open your...

I've never said I dont rate Sachin, just feel Gilly is the complete ODI player cos he offers somethin in both forms of the game. Watch tendulkar's knock in the WC and it was first class, especially like the cut iff gully off shoaib for 6 - just a shame he didnt get to 3 figures. I like sachin...

    Leading test wickets takers 2003

Just watch ntini bowl at the windies in the vening series and he bearly made them ball, stick not convinced about the guy's accuracy. I disspair for the Aus once warne retires as a half decent replacement appears impossible to find, unless there's a guy on the domestic team we dont know about...

    Adam Gilchrist

Guys does it really mattter if he was/wasnt dropped? At the end of the day the scorecard doesnt have picutres! It simply says Gilchrist 172 - sod the drop catches!!! How you can describe scoring Gilly's innings as "tin-arsed his way to 172" is ridiculous. Like you said you did watch it, so the...

    Adam Gilchrist

I'm sure Gilly will do the business against India. Dont think Gilly gets out playing 'unneccessary' shots, he simply goes after everythin. He knows theres plenty of batting in the Aus line up so goes after everythin. Sometimes he gets out and looks a little silly, thats cricket. Bevan is ideal...

    Adam Gilchrist

Having considered your evidence i still feel he can be hot and cold in test, to me he never looks as confortable when batting in tests as he does in ODI.

    Adam Gilchrist

Gilly's test average of 55 is alittle deceiving, as is Bevan's ODI average, alot of his innings in tests are not outs which are not included when calculating his avaerage. Not confussed just aware of how averages are calculated.

    Shoaib Akhtar v Brett Lee

Shoaib's looking to be a better test bowler, as Lee is struggling desperately at the moment. But think Lee is better ODI bowler, Shoaib bowls those 95 mph short long hops which when the field is in the circle can disappear over gully for 6, as tendulkar showed in 2003 world cup. He's bee...

    Adam Gilchrist

Having watched the great man hit a career best 172 (although i accept not against the toughest opponents), I feel it neccessary to pay tribute to the legend that is Gilchrist. In test cricket as a batsman he blows hot and cold, but what can you expect batting at 7 and coming in when the team...
