*Official* New Zealand domestic season 2022/23

When Otago first signed him, I gave him the nick Shillips to reflect him being the **** phillips. It was a bit harsh and it has been nice watching his development over the last couple of years

Wellington has chucked a post up saying seven of its players are in an U19 training camp. Wonder if NZ cricket will put the full group up.

The disappointing aspect of this knock from Phillips, is the pitch is very flat. He had a great opportunity to score a run a ball hundred, without much effort. Foxcroft isn't playing a risky innings at all and is striking at just under 100. Phillips didn't need to try and hit a six an over. He...

Bright and breezy 25 from Glenn Phillips before nicking out. Looks a million bucks before doing something silly.

He will also be flying up from Dunedin with Jacob Duffy, both were scheduled to play a Ford Trophy game there today.

I reckon he is about to make his test debut batting at 8.

How is an uncapped Kuggeleijn a better option that Dougy Bracewell. Bracewell is the third highest wicket taker, Kuggeleijn averaged 60+ with the ball this season... Kuggeleijn also averages fewer runs with the bat.

We should just bite the bullet and bring Doug Bracewell back as a straight swap for Jamieson

I think Lockrose is showing a lot more upside with the bat than his more fancied team mates. Shpuld be looking at ways to get him and his power in as much as possible. Will be interesting to see who they decide to leave out to bring in Glenn Phillips when and if he is available next game.

Any indication whether the Black Caps will be back for the finals? See none have been released yet for tomorrow's game.

The transformation of Jake Gibson into a quality T20 opener has been an interesting development.

He debuted on the tour when Bracewell pulled out due to the upcoming birth of his first child. Is it likely Bracewell would have been picked over him?

If nepotism was going to have been a factor in picking Michael Bracewell he wpuld have made the team a decade ago under Mike Hesson as an opening batsman. When he had some good seasons for Otago he could have easily been picked around the same time as Henry Nicholls or Tom Latham. He didn't and...

Jeez Otago would be a shithouse side without Dean Foxcroft. Josh Finnie must also be on borrowed time.

Looking forward to Glenn Phillips making his debut for Otago at Pukekura Park on the weekend. Should do some damage there. Would be keen to see him get chucked in at three.

Gutted for those two. Both batted well and should have got their maiden centuries.

Interesting 20 minutes interview with Dean Foxcroft. Quite impressed by his dedication to sticking around.

Due to the fact he is a reasonably big lad and very strong.

It looks like he has been quite careful with any cricket he has played. I'm sure he could have rolled into one of the SA domestic teams, but decided against it to give himself the best possible shot of an ICC exemption.

Looks like Otago is very weak batting wise, only contracting four specialist batsmen, with G Phillips contacted centrally. That leaves it with players like Rippon and Chu needing to take on a fair bit of responsibility, having to bat at 6 or 7 in all formats. Will also put some pressure on...
