I don't think he was saying yesterday's result was good for Australia. Interesting for Johnson - played India 3 times, twice got Tendulkar out cheaply (and the other time Sachin was out before he got a chance to bowl).

Obviously another post not to be taken seriously.

I think having Haddin in is OK - if Voges was in it should have been at the expense of Hopes. Prove me wrong James.

Well Bailey will improve with time. I would have liked to have seen Heal bowling in the one-dayers though. He did well for the AIS in India last month.

Exactly. Hopes is the only option I think. Apart from Bichel of course.

Be fair, he's only 22, and he probably hasn't bowled much worse than the other legspinners in this match. I assume MacGill took his sole wicket from one of his rank longhops.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, but I'm really interested in seeing where he's coming from on this.

Which is odd because all the reports, including the one you linked too plainly indicated the three were suspended for having untidy rooms. None of them said for trashing their rooms.

My definition of a trashed room is one where fixtures or fittings have been damaged. Yours is obviously something like 'food left lying around'.

    Australia A in Pakistan

Yeah they really trashed their rooms didn't they? Why don't you try again...

    Didn't think you did.

Do you have anything to support this bull**** assertion?

    Australia A in Pakistan

Agree with most of what you say, although I dont know why Australia couldn't have included one more OD player in their squad, particularly as MacGill didn't even turn up. And I will persist with my feeling that the bowling composition did significantly contribute to the series outcome. I think...

And you do realise that one of those two spinners, as I have mentioned, cannot even get a game for his state side in one-day cricket? Yet you refer to him as a front line spinner! He should not have been playing, simple as that. So we had one ‘proper’ OD spin bowler, Bailey, the three seamers...

    Australia A in Pakistan

Really?? Who were these? Well how decent they are is pretty debatable, and you certainly wouldn’t want more than ten overs combined from these guys. I’m not questioning Cullen’s selection. I’m saying if we could have had another couple of one-day spinners in the squad (Hauritz...

    Australia A in Pakistan

Seems you completely missed my point here. I was not bemoaning our lack of experience. I was saying that because of the limited size of our squad we picked several ‘four-day’ specialists to play in the one day matches. My chief example was Cullen Bailey, who doesn’t even get a game for his state...

    Australia A in Pakistan

OK, but the point is - if they are in the first team squad they are no longer second stringers regardless of whether other players are absent due to injury/lack of form/selectors whims/etc And if this discussion is about 'team depth', how many in this Australian squad would really make our...

    Australia A in Pakistan

Ahh there you are. :) Well most predicted that because the squad we sent over was essentially centred around the four-day game with a few one-day players thrown in. Cullen Bailey bowled more overs in this one-day series than he did in the entire 06/07 domestic one day season. No...
